At Victory Road, Abyss came to the ring in a new costume, having discarded the Asylum patient attire. Abyss went on to defeat Dr. Stevie by hitting a Shock Treatment, a Black Hole Slam and by shocking Stevie with his own taser. On the July 30 edition of Impact! Stevie placed a $50,000 bounty on Abyss’ head. At No Surrender, Kevin Nash successfully defended his TNA Legends Championship against Abyss and claimed the $50,000 bounty in the process
